Mysuru or Mysore famed for its glistening royal heritage, majestic monuments and architectural pieces is among South India’s most beautiful cities. Though it is the Mysore Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that brings majority of the travellers to it, but Mysore is also steeped in tradition, its ambient bazaars replete with unique bric-a-brac, selling everything from incense, sandalwood artifacts to spices, bring out the true flavour of one of Karnataka’s most important cities, lying at the foothills of the Chamundi Hill around 145 kilometre southwest of its capital, Bangalore. Mysore’s claim to fame apart from its world-heritage status palace is ashtanga yoga, with several acclaimed schools located here, bringing in enthusiasts from all over the world. Mysore is otherwise regarded as a hub for sandalwood carving, silk and incense making. Despite its proximity to the high-tech Bangalore, Mysore at heart remains an old-fashioned little town, drawing visitors for its cultural and historical landmarks and also for its newfound status as a premiere international yoga destination. But it is to be remembered that Mysore tour packages are incomplete if they do not comprise a visit to the Chamundi Hill, and of course, Mysore Palace.

Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

Day 1 - Chennai To Tiruppathi:

• Arrives Chennai Airport or Railway Station, assisting all arrival formalities, and you will be transferred to Tiruppathi. Tiruppathi, the ancient and sacred temple of Sri Venkateswara is located on the seventh peak, Venkatachala Venkata Hill of the Tiruppathi Hill, and lies on the southern banks of Sri Swami Pushkarini. He is also called the Lord of the Seven Hills. On arrival check in at Hotel. Later visit Tiruppathi Thirumalai Temple, Sri Bhu Varaha Swamy Temple, Sri Bedi Anjaneya Swamy Temple and Sri Padmavathi Ammai Temple. Overnight at Hotel in Tiruppathi.

Day 2 - Tiruppathi To Pondichery:

• Proceed to Pondichery. Pondichery, This territory was under the French rule for nearly 281 years. Still it has the French flavor in it as one can see by the grand colonial mansions, beautiful bouleds, and placid promenades, spellings on sign boards and buildings, names of roads and public places. On arrival check in at Hotel. Later in the day free for leisure. Overnight at Hotel in Pondichery.

Day 3 - Pondichery Sightseeing:

•Morning departure to enjoy a full day Sightseeing tour of Pondichery visiting Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Auroville, French War Memorial, The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Immaculate Conception Cathedral, Manakula Vinayagar Temple, Raj Niwas, The Pondicherry Botanical Garden, The Pondicherry Museum, Promenade, Park Monument Aayi Mandapam, Ousteri Lake, Chunnambar Boathouse, Serenity Beach, Old Lighthouse, Statue of Dupleix, Eglise de Notre Dame des Anges, Mahatma Gandhi Statue, Paradise Beach, Rock Beach and Pondicherry Beach. Overnight at Hotel in Pondichery.

Day 4 - Pondichery To Mahabalipuram:

• Proceed to Mahabalipuram. Mahabalipuram, The city known for its temples and monuments built by the Pallava dynasty in the 7th and 8th centuries. The structures here, mostly carved straight out of granite, are among the oldest existing examples of Dravidian South Indian architecture. On arrival check in at Hotel. Later depart to enjoy full day sightseeing tour of Mahabalipuram visiting Arjuna’s Penance/Decent of the Ganges and Pancha Pandava Rathas, Balancing Rock, Sea Shore Temple and Krishna Mandapam. Overnight at Hotel in Mahabalipuram.

Day 5 - Mahabalipuram To Chennai:

• Proceed to Chennai. Bid farewell to this serene land as your holidays come to an end and you get transferred to Chennai Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey back to home.
